Mexico, Aug. 4 (Notimex) .- From next November 6, American Airlines will offer a new service to Mexico with flights between Miami International Airport (MIA) and the "Manuel Crescencio Rejon" International Airport of Merida.

For American, this new route to Merida, which will operate by Republic Airways with a Embraer 175 aircraft, represents the fifth destination to Mexico from Miami, destination from where it offers connections to more than 130 US and international markets in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, South America and Europe.

"We are very excited about the launch of this new route to Merida, as we will offer our customers international access to five nonstop Mexican destinations from our hub in Miami," the American Airlines Mexico director general, Tony Gutierrez said, according to a statement.

The flight that will operate five times a week, except Tuesday and Wednesday, complements the service to Merida from the American operations center in Dallas / Fort Worth.
