Mexico and Cuba to strengthen relation in touristic business forum

By Verenice León. Envoy Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, Jun. 6 (Notimex).- Touristic authorities and sector business representatives will meet in the First Touristic Business Forum Mexico-Cuba, to be held from June 7 to 8, in the Yucatan Convention Center Siglo XXI.

The meeting seeks to promote commercial relations, promotions and business to strengthen the value chain of the touristic sector between both nations; besides, it will have conferences, analysis meetings, and commercial gatherings.

The event will begin next Tuesday with the forum's opening ceremony of national Perspectives of the touristic sector in Mexico and Cuba, in which the governor of Yucatan, Rolando Zapata, will participate; the head of the Tourism Ministry (Sectur, for its acronym in Spanish), Enrique de la Madrid and the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, Manuel Marreo.

On that day the Logistic Connectivity Meeting with Cuba will also be carried out, among other activities: the naval and air industry, in which the current state will be discussed, as well as the connectivity perspectives between both nations, joining the business meeting B2B to be headed by Mexican and Cuban entrepreneurs and investors.

According to Sectur, among the participants in the First Touristic Business Forum Mexico-Cuba stand out the hotel chains Gaviota, Cubanacán, Gran Caribe and Habaguanex.

As well as the representatives of various companies, standing out restaurants, golf courses and Palmares theme park, Caracol stores, OSD traveling agencies and Havenatur, an international group of tour operators from Cuba.
